THIS PAGE INCLUDES ALL OF OUR PERSONAL FINDS. THE NUTTING STONE WAS OUR FIRST ARTIFACT FOUND. FROM ARROWHEADS, TO MANOS, TO CELTS, THERE ARE ALL KIND OF ARTIFACTS.
Whether or not this is an artifact is up for debate. Pictures of this have been sent to people who know a lot more than I do. The consensus was it is not an artifact, but they couldn't say with 100% certainty. Arguments for being an artifact are the obvious look of it and the fact that it was found in a creek next to a camp. Arguments against it are there are no obvious peck markings or drill marks. However, these could have been smoothed out over time in the creek. The hole and line can be explained naturally by roots growing through it and along it. Also, this is not a common rock used to make pendants. Logic says this is not an artifact, my heart says, or at least wishes, it is. You make the call.
